Targeted formula packed with nutrients
Seeking Health’s Gallbladder Nutrient Powder is a novel blend of essential nutrients and herbs specifically aimed at supporting the digestive system and the liver. Good bile production is essential for proper digestion. After all, bile fluid plays an important role in the absorption of nutrients in the gastrointestinal tract. Bile fluid also supports the purifying functions of the liver and the removal of toxic substances from the liver. Because the gallbladder and liver work together to produce bile, it is important to also support the liver if you want to support your gallbladder functions, lipid metabolism and the absorption of fats. This unique blend by Seeking Health therefore includes choline, taurine and milk thistle, which support the cleansing of the liver*1. Choline also contributes to normal lipid metabolism*1. The added taurine , milk thistle and ginger have antioxidant effects*3 and included herbs, such as artichoke and ginger, support digestion*2.

What is the function of bile?
In the liver, bile is continuously produced from cholesterol, which is then combined with taurine and glycine and stored in the gallbladder. The gall has several important functions. One of them is the lubrication of the small intestine to ease bowel movements. Balance is important here, as an excess of bile can lead to diarrhea and a deficiency can lead to constipation, which increases the toxic load in the body. Bile is also a transporter of toxins from the liver to the intestine; it allows this process to run smoothly and continuously. Another important function of bile is the supply of glycine and taurine , the building blocks for bile salts, which are necessary for breaking down fats from the diet. The fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K can only be properly absorbed in the small intestine with sufficient bile present. Bile therefore plays an important role in the elimination of waste, in the proper functioning of digestive processes, and in the absorption of nutrients including essential fats and fat-soluble vitamins.
Epigenetics & Seeking Health
Epigenetics refers to the myriad of factors that influence our gene expression. The term epigenetics was coined in 1942 by biologist Conrad Waddington; it literally means 'round the DNA', referring to the markers surrounding DNA that can turn genes on and off. The idea behind it is that the lived experiences, living conditions and nutritional status of an organism have a major influence on its genetic predispositions. For Dr. Ben Lynch, epigenetics stands for the power of our genes and for the fact that we do not have to surrender to our DNA, but that we can work with our genes and find out how to shape this cooperation to our advantage. Lynch's method is therefore aimed at detecting our DNA markers (also known as SNPs, or 'single-nucleotide polymorphisms') and making them manageable with the help of supplements, dietary and lifestyle adjustments, to 'clean up dirty genes', as Lynch put it.
About Seeking Health
After suffering from unexplained health problems himself for years, Dr. Ben Lynch became convinced that the cause of these complaints had to be sought in having 'dirty' genes. After ten years of researching, studying and treating thousands of clients around the world, he wrote the book Dirty Genes, in which he developed and refined his method of actively using insights from epigenetics to optimize health. Lynch is currently one of the most consulted experts in epigenetics. He has always been fascinated by the influence and power of our genes and he believes that through the right diet and lifestyle we can work with our genes to create higher levels of health.

Gallbladder nutrients should be taken immediately before, during or just after a meal and never on an empty stomach.
We recommend starting slowly and building up to the recommended use of one scoop twice daily or as recommended by your healthcare provider. When starting, try taking 1/4 scoop of gallbladder nutrition in 1/2 glass of water or a drink of your choice with your evening meal. If this is well tolerated, consider tapering off to the recommended use of 2 scoops per day mixed in water or drink of choice. The dose can be divided into 1 scoop twice daily with your afternoon and evening meals.
Common side effects are mild cramps, nausea and gas. In such cases, skip a day and halve the amount taken the next day. Be sure to take gallbladder nutrients with plenty of food. Continue to monitor your bowel movements and symptoms and adjust dosage as needed.
Choline may increase feelings of alertness and focus. If you have difficulty falling asleep, use gallbladder nutrients during the day and not within 5 hours before bedtime.
